Midway Airport Guide

Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW)

Midway is roughly 90 miles from Rockford, usually about 1 hour 40 minutes by car depending on traffic. Rides from Rockford start at $160.

Terminal and airlines

Midway has one main terminal with three concourses: A, B and C. Southwest Airlines is by far the largest airline at Midway, and a few other airlines fly there as well.

Airlines sometimes change terminals. Always check your boarding pass or airline app.

Where your driver meets you

1. Go to the baggage claim level, whether or not you checked bags.
2. Once you have all your luggage, call (815) 200-9604.
3. Our dispatcher will ask your last name and tell you which door to exit.
4. You'll get your vehicle's description and license plate.
5. Airport rules keep cars in a holding lot until you call, so allow 5 to 15 minutes for your car to arrive.

Booked a greeter? They'll be waiting at your baggage claim carousel. See full airport pickup instructions.

• Midway is smaller than O'Hare, but security lines can still be long at busy times. Plan to arrive 2 hours before domestic flights.
