Rockford Airport (RFD) Guide

Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD)

RFD is about 10 miles from downtown Rockford, usually a 15 to 20 minute ride. Rides start at $45.

Terminal and airlines

RFD has one small, easy-to-use passenger terminal. Allegiant Air is the main passenger airline, with mostly nonstop flights to vacation spots. The airport is also a major cargo hub.

Airlines sometimes change terminals. Always check your boarding pass or airline app.

Where your driver meets you

1. Go to the baggage claim level, whether or not you checked bags.
2. Once you have all your luggage, call (815) 200-9604.
3. Our dispatcher will ask your last name and tell you which door to exit.
4. You'll get your vehicle's description and license plate.
5. Airport rules keep cars in a holding lot until you call, so allow 5 to 15 minutes for your car to arrive.

Booked a greeter? They'll be waiting at your baggage claim carousel. See full airport pickup instructions.
